Comfort Food a la Chinoise

Friday, October 14th. The kind of day that makes you want to kick mother nature in the balls. I'm soaked in disgusting Manhattan rain and "city gravy." BUT I digress...

Roast Chicken Northern China Style from Yeah Shanghai Deluxe - rather a dull dish. Reminds us that all cuisines have their bland foods. At any rate, a nice roast chicken, artfully de-boned, mounded under a dome of skin and... almost entirely lacking in flavor. Juicy though. Its virtues were precisely those of any other (western) roast chicken, which is, in the end, hardly a bad thing.
